Our Team

In addition to Susanne Behm, the small Kossätenhof team consists of three permanent employees: Christine Jantzen, Diana Wichert and Susanne Plötz, plus freelance yoga teacher Melanie Riediger. A fair and friendly atmosphere is very important to us because we spend most of time with our work. As all employees want to reconcile their working life with their family obligations, flexibility in the workplace and fresh ideas are encouraged and personal strengths are promoted.

Susanne Behm, Founder and Managing Director

I am married and have two sons who were born in 1999 and 2001. During my studies of prehistory and early history, I learned about the life of the stone age people. I am also a passionate gardener. With the purchase of the Kossätenhof, I realized a lifelong dream. Establishing the holiday farm and implementing new ideas became my heart’s project. Already in the early stages of my life, I realized that I can change the world only by changes in my own everyday life. While studying, I was very interested in healthy eating and living. I am now passing on this knowledge to other people with our fasting courses, since completing my training as a fasting instructor in 2011.

 Christine Jantzen

I am married and have a son and a daughter. I met Susanne during my studies of prehistoric anthropology and in 2008 I started working on the Kossätenhof. My strength is organization. My responsibilities include marketing tasks, processing customer requests, preparing the accounting and monitoring service quality. I order products for the farm shop and I manage the subscriptions for the organic vegetables boxes. In the summer months, I work in the café as I enjoy assisting people and seeking unconventional ways of doing things.

Diana Wichert

P1000569I am married and have two sons who were born in 1999 and 2003. I am the “good fairy” of the Kossätenhof and I am responsible for all household work. Among other things, I cook jams and other preserves and I bake cakes, while always trying new recipes. During our fasting courses, I prepare the fasting soup and mix green smoothies with the gathered wild herbs. My tasks also include packaging and delivering the organic vegetables boxes. In the summer months, I am working at the farm shop and I am also the contact person for all questions of our guests.

Susanne Plötz

P1000569I live in Flecken Zechlin close to my work place and I have three children, two boys and a girl. Since 2015, I work on the Kossätenhof as an ‘allrounder’ and am responsible for the cleaning of the apartments and the hay hotel. In the summer, I prepare breakfast for the guests of the hay hotel and during the fasting courses I make sure that our guests want for nothing.

Melanie Riediger

I am married and have a son. I have studied business administration but yoga is my real passion in addition to my office job. It gives me great pleasure to develop my yogic knowledge and to pass it on to the course participants. As a vegetarian, I am also interested in healthy eating and living, which brought me to the conviction that yoga supports the fasting process in an ideal way. Therefore, I perfectly complement the fasting team.

 

Doreen Dreyer

P1000569I am an enthusiastic yoga instructor offering yoga lessons during the fasting courses on the Kossätenhof alternating with Melanie. I completed my teacher training at the Mandala Institute in Gifhorn and I am initiated in Reiki Level I and II. Since 2015, I am doing a further training as a yoga teacher.
In my opinion, yoga and nutrition belong together. I have been fasting myself many times, therefore I am convinced that this method is beneficial for my body and provides me with a lot of new energy. Fasting in combination with yoga stimulates the metabolism, neutralizes the body and helps us to breathe deeply again.
